PHOTOGRAPHY

Every now and then I (Lucy) lend my hand to photography to help out friends and family to take some snaps of their products and offerings. This is something that I really enjoy and allows me to flex my creativity. I am mainly the ‘business side’ of Basil & Ford so being able to apply my skills from my degree is a real treat. I thought it would be fun to share some of the images that I have created so here goes.

THE YARD SOFT PLAY

We are so lucky, here in Stamford, to have one of the best soft play coffee shops around. Our wonderful friends Jo and Aimee have created a fun and creative space to play for children as well as a perfect place for parents and carers to mingle, eat, drink and unwind.

AFRICOLOGY

Beautiful luxury products made in South Africa using only natural ingredients. They smell as good as they look so the images had to work hard to showcase the quality.

MOKI HOME

Matt’s sister and her friend Lynn used lock down to set up their new candle company. A candle which packs a punch not only in smell but also in bold colourful design. They needed to get some images to launch their fledgling business so they headed down to Stamford (when it was allowed) and we worked together to create their first suite of images.

THAT REBEL HOUSE

Our very talented friend Sarah designs and makes fabulous homewares and beautifully hand crafter lampshades. All whilst saving lives as a full time fire fighter here in Stamford. As a one woman band with a whole new range of products to launch I helped out by taking a few snaps of her colourful wonders.
